On November 2, 2020, PCV employees hit the links at two separate charity golf tournaments. McKinley Children’s Center and Forgotten Children, Inc. hosted the charity golf tournaments. PCV Murcor’s nonprofit, PCV|VRM Seeds of Hope has supported both organizations and their various events over the years.

McKinley’s Harvest of Hope Golf Tournament took place at the Western Hills Country Club in Chino Hills, CA. PCV|VRM Seeds of Hope was one of the tournament’s sponsors.

The fundraising event helps benefit McKinley’s educational, special, and therapeutic programs for at-risk and vulnerable children who call McKinley home. McKinley’s mission is to provide youth with opportunities to grow, heal, and thrive. Harvest of Hope is a way to bring healing and transformation this upcoming holiday season.

“I had a great time and was honored to represent PCV and be part of our long-standing tradition of philanthropy and commitment to community service,” said Larry Grossman, PCV Murcor’s Compliance Specialist. “McKinley Children’s Center is a worthy organization dedicated to compassionately transforming the lives of youth and families.”

Forgotten Children, Inc.’s (FCI) Fresh Air for a Cause Charity Golf Tournament took place at the Seacliff Country Club in Huntington Beach, CA. The fifth annual event raises funds towards programs and services to fight human trafficking.

FCI’s mission is to rescue, restore, educate, and bring hope to victims of human trafficking and exploitation. Every thirty seconds, a person becomes a victim of human trafficking. According to the U.S. State Department, 600,000 to 800,000 people are trafficked across international borders every year, 80% of which are female (half being children).

“FCI is an organization that is very near and dear to my heart,” said Cindy Nasser, PCV Murcor’s Chief Operating Officer. “As a former foster child, I am painfully aware of how vulnerable that population is to falling victim to sex trafficking.”

Part of the funds raised by the event included donations from PCV employees. They were invited to hit the links for the cause, and for non-golfers, they were able to enjoy a Sip and Paint activity at the course.

“I am incredibly humbled by the participation of the PCV staff in this year’s event,” Nasser said. “They reached into their own pockets to contribute to the cause. I am eternally grateful for their generosity. We had a great time on a beautiful golf course contributing to a great cause.”
