Throughout October, PCV Murcor’s Client Services Teams wore pink every Wednesday in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“If something as simple as wearing pink draws awareness to this cause, and saves one person, then we’ve helped make an impact,” said Natalie Gutierrez, PCV Murcor’s Client Services – Status Team Lead.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month raises attention, encourages early detection and treatment, and palliative care for the disease all across the world every October. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there are about 1.38 million new cases and 458,000 deaths from breast cancer each year worldwide; it is by far the most common cancer in women.

“Wearing pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness became important to me when my mother-in-law was diagnosed,” Gutierrez shared. “During this strange year, it was nice to see everyone come together for a common cause.”
