PCV Murcor is pleased to honor Stephanie Klein with the Margaret Murray Entrepreneurial Spirit Award and Mario Burelle as the Employee of the Quarter Award.

Margaret Murray Award

Stephanie, our Corporate Officer Manager, is being honored with the Margaret Murray Entrepreneurial Spirit Award for going above and beyond by improving two company programs, our Wellness Challenges, and Years of Service/Company Anniversary Milestones recognition.

Maybe now, more than ever, employee wellness has become essential to an organization’s overall health. Stephanie has done an excellent job of restructuring the incentive levels for our Wellness Challenges, increasing employee participation. Her understanding of how to reshape the program to accommodate our employees’ ability to participate has been the key to its overall success.

She has also played a key role in reshaping how we recognize employees who have reached milestones in their anniversaries with the company. This task required getting a vast amount of input, understanding budgetary parameters, assessing various ideas and suggestions, and planning for short-term and long-term needs while finding a platform that fit the criteria and could handle the logistics. Since this revised program rolled out, the changes made have been well-received by employees.

Employee Award Honors - Stephanie Klein

Stephanie does an excellent job of keeping employee engagement activities from becoming stale. She gathers feedback, researches options with greater appeal, and then sees it through. For example, after a few virtual trivia competitions, she identified and found a vendor who offered a Family Feud-style game. This different style of play received positive reviews from participants.

Her outstanding effort in reshaping company programs and improving employee engagement makes her very deserving of this honor.

The Margaret Murray Award honors the grandmother of our Founder, CEO and President, Keith Murray. She instilled the values of hard work and determination in him. Her life, and the way she led it, is the reason why this special award is named after her. Mrs. Murray taught her grandson that it is not just what you do, but also how you do it.

Employee of the Quarter Award

Mario, a QC Escalations and Commercial Analyst IV, on our Quality Control team, is our Employee of the Quarter for the 3rd quarter of 2023. His competency and commitment in his role are keys to his success and are invaluable to the company.

Mario manages the dispute process deftly while also advising on the files that are escalated highly or more complex. With each shift, he quietly works across groups, handling escalations and offering assistance in resolving whatever situation is at hand. Regardless of the intensity of the escalation, Mario maintains a positive, good-natured approach.

The review managers trust his judgment in resolving client concerns, and Mario is often the first person that the review managers and clients will contact with their concerns.

Finally, Mario handles escalations involving our vendor panel. He manages these skillfully by maintaining a professional attitude while striking the right balance of empathy and persistence with a positive attitude.

Mario’s ability to masterfully handle any situation thrown his way illustrates why he deserves to be our Employee of the Quarter.
