PCV Murcor is pleased to honor Cherie McMullen with the Margaret Murray Entrepreneurial Spirit Award and Tom Papile as the Employee of the Quarter Award.
Margaret Murray Award
Cherie, our Sr. Operations Manager, is an essential part of PCV Murcor’s operational compliance process, and why she is being honored with the Margaret Murray Entrepreneurial Spirit Award for going above and beyond.
With every client audit, Cherie takes the lead, working closely with auditors to build repour. She works with departmental leaders to ensure we provide our clients’ audit deliverables within the given timelines, meeting auditors’ expectations. Cherie is extremely organized, preparing department leaders for each audit beforehand by outlining expectations and responsibilities. Her urgency and understanding of how client audits impact relationships and future work are key to our audits running smoothly.
She also partners with our compliance team and SVP of Operations to ensure our state appraisal management company (AMC) licenses renew promptly. She ensures that we are operationally compliant with each state’s AMC requirements. In the last quarter alone, her work helped us make enhancements and provide training to meet new state requirements on three separate occasions.
Cherie’s leadership of our Quality Assurance team helps ensure that quality evaluations are completed timely with oversight and monitoring of our policies and procedures. She partners with department leaders during call calibrations and escalation file reviews. She provides the leadership team with quality evaluation trends to help us identify potential process improvements, training opportunities, and performance tendencies. Cherie works with every departmental lead to ensure policies and procedures are updated.
She also heads up our Vendor Support team. In Q2, we had an update to our ACH policy in which she worked with our accounting team to define and identify the responsibilities of the vendor support team within the ACH verification process.
Finally, but not least, in Q2 of 2023, Cherie’s team finished the SQL reporting cleanup based on feedback from the operational department leaders. This work culminates from what Cherie started in 2022 with operations leaders to identify SQL reporting that was no longer needed allowing us to clean up our database.
The Margaret Murray Award honors the grandmother of our Founder, CEO and President, Keith Murray. She instilled the values of hard work and determination in him. Her life, and the way she led it, is the reason why this special award is named after her. Mrs. Murray taught her grandson that it is not just what you do, but also how you do it.
Employee of the Quarter Award
Tom, a QC Analyst III on our Quality Control team, is our Employee of the Quarter for the 2nd quarter of 2023. He is our resident subject matter expert for all things collateral risk in QC.
His role at PCV can be quite challenging. It requires approaching both vendors and clients in very detailed, complex situations, sometimes in unchartered territory for unique situations. He makes it look effortless, mostly due to his positive attitude and taking ownership in seeing these challenges through fruition. He helms the Ask QC desk, in addition to assisting our Status, Vendor Management, and Client Services in addressing various issues that are both property and vendor related.
Tom’s continued excellence illustrates why he deserves to be our Employee of the Quarter.
