PCV|VRM Seeds of Hope, PCV Murcor’s nonprofit, was proud to donate to City of Hope’s Walk for Hope 2025 in support of our PCV Team that participated in the walk. PCV Employees, their families, and friends joined an estimated 10,000 walkers on November 2 at the City of Hope-Duarte, CA campus to raise funds for City of Hope’s mission: making hope a reality for all touched by cancer.
The walkers united by courage, compassion, and a shared goal to outpace cancer, raised over $1.35 million for life-saving research and compassionate care at City of Hope. Every step taken and every dollar raised supports scientists, doctors, and patients working toward cures.
Moments of joy, remembrance, and strength were shared by our team members with their families and friends who participated, including Senior HR Generalist Gina Alvarez, Vendor Relations Status II Patty Roberts, Corporate Office Manager Stephanie Klein, and Director of Marketing Charles Beatley.
For Gina, a recent cancer survivor, the walk was an occasion of healing, comfort, and gratitude as she was celebrating her one year of being cancer-free on that day.
“City of Hope-Duarte saved my life,” Alvarez said, “I was diagnosed with lung cancer last April. I was excited to see that PCV donated, as I do this walk every year for my Mom and family members that I have lost to cancer. But this year, I did it for me!”
