PCV Murcor was everywhere at the 12th Annual American Association of Private Lenders (AAPL) Conference held from November 14-16, 2021, in Las Vegas. The AAPL 12th Annual Conference was hosted once again at Caesar’s Palace and well attended by private lenders, brokers, crowd funders, and service providers, the largest such event in the private lending industry.
The conference opened Sunday night with a VIP event at Caesar’s OMNIA nightclub, bringing the private lending world together for a little fun. Monday served as the conference’s main day of panel discussions, networking, and booth exhibits. PCV’s Business Development Account Executive Lucee Cesena and Director of Marketing Charles Beatley kept busy at our booth, talking everything appraisals with attendees.
At lunch, PCV sponsored the Women in Private Lending Luncheon. Our Chief Operating Officer Cindy Nasser and Cesena attended. In the afternoon, Nasser spoke on the “Positioning for the Post-COVID Housing Market” panel with Jack Helfrish of Civic Financial Services and Chris Fuelling of Lending Wise, moderated by Nema Daghbandan, Esq. of Geraci LLP. The action-packed day concluded with the ever-popular speed networking activity where Cesena worked her way down the line. Afterward, the networking continued at a reception followed by an after-party at the Water Grill, featuring the largest seafood selection in the history of private lending.
On the bonus day of the conference (Tuesday), Nasser served on the morning panel for the “Planning for and Mitigating the Appraisal Squeeze” session with Dana Wasson of PeerStreet and Jeff Levin of Specialty Lending Group, moderated by Steve Kuptz of Trinity Mortgage Fund.
