PCV Murcor, through its nonprofit PCV|VRM Seeds of Hope, was proud to sponsor Foothill Family’s A Royal Affair Gala.  The grand event took place Saturday, March 7, 2020, at the regal California Club in downtown Los Angeles. The annual gala serves as the largest fundraiser of the year for Foothill Family.

The gala honored the 20th Anniversary of the Friends of Foothill Family, with special tributes to the past presidents who have shaped the philanthropic guild and its role in the community’s awareness and support of the agency. Congresswoman Judy Chu, U.S. Representative for California’s 27th congressional district, spoke at the event. Mrs. Chu serves on the organization’s advisory board and has been involved with Foothill Family over the past 20 years.

The ambiance of the black-tie and period to present royal attire event transported attendees back to a dignified time. The setting of the California Club was nothing short of elegance and sophistication. As attendees arrived, they were welcomed to the fanfare of trumpets along with a photo op to sit in the king and queen’s thrones.

The fun-filled night began with a silent auction and cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by dinner and a live auction. Attendees were treated to a rocking ’80s cover band, The Young Guns, dancing the night away to the hit songs of Prince, Journey, Pat Benatar, Michael Jackson, among others.

“This event had a very special meaning to me,” said Cindy Nasser, PCV Murcor’s Chief Operating Officer. “Foothill Family Services has been a staple in the community for a hundred years. I’ve personally experienced the level of care and service they provide when I was a teenager in foster care. The experience left a lifelong imprint, which is why we jumped at the opportunity to support the organization. It was an amazing event. The passion for the cause by everyone attending was palpable.”
