PCV Murcor was proud to sponsor the 4th Annual Forgotten Children, Inc.’s (FCI) Charity Golf Classic, Swinging Against Human Trafficking. The annual golf outing took place November, 18, 2019 at the Seacliff Country Club in Huntington Beach, CA. The event’s proceeds will be used towards programs and services to fight human trafficking.
“It was such an honor sponsoring the FCI’s Charity Golf Classic, and supporting my fellow Comerica Bank’s Women in Business Award winner Tera Hilliard (CEO of FCI),” said Cindy Nasser, PCV Murcor’s Chief Operating Officer. “We had such a great time on the course supporting this cause. I would like to thank my friends and colleagues that came out to support this great cause.”
Every thirty seconds, a person becomes a victim of human trafficking. According to the U.S. State Department, 600,000 to 800,000 people are trafficked across international borders every year, 80% of which are female (half being children). FCI’s mission is to rescue, restore, educate and bring hope to victims of human trafficking and exploitation.
“The services the organization provides to combat human trafficking is beyond measure,” Nasser went on to say. “There are so many vulnerable young men and women that need services like the ones Forgotten Children, Inc. provides.”
